2012 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference

The 2012 EUMETSAT meteorlogical user conference will offer an excellent opportunity to present the latest products generated within the EUMETSAT satellite Application Facility.

Weather, ocean and climate observations as well as atmospheric composition are the mainstay topics:

  • Current and future satellites, instruments and their applications
  • The Hydrological Cycle
  • Monitoring climate and understanding climate processes based on satellite data
  • Satellite-based observations of the oceans, including by Sentinel-3
  • Forecasting and Nowcasting
  • Atmospheric composition
  • Online Training (submissions for Internet-based* presentations are welcome)


The ocean session is organized by Joe Sienkiewicz from the NOAA Ocean prediction Center and Hans Bonekamp from EUMETSAT.
If you wish to contribute to this conference please prepare and submit your abstract by 23 January 2012.

A general overview presentation of GODAE OceanView is also anticipated.
