Scoping Workshop - Impact of Observing Systems

Event date(s): Monday 9th December 2019  –  Wednesday 11th December 2019

Scoping Workshop on Future Activities to Assess Impact of Various Observing Systems on Earth System Prediction

WMO HQ, Geneva, Switzerland

9-11 December 2019

The goal of the workshop will be to scope future activities on how to assess the impact of various observing systems on Earth System prediction, looking at all domains of the Earth System.
The workshop will learn from the successful example of series of International workshops on the Impact of Various Observing Systems on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), and reach out with experts of the modelling communities from Earth System domains (oceam, cryosphere, hydrology, atmospheric composition).

Representatives from OceanPredict will participate in the workshop to contribute to the planning of future observing system assessments.

More information can be found on the WMO website.
