The Global Ocean Week

The EU Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS) in collaboration with the EU Cooperation in Science and Technology, Evaluation of Ocean Syntheses (COST-EOS) (and in partnership with GOV) is organising a training week focussing on "What can ocean monitoring bring to society?" on the 10-14 October in Toulouse, France.

Copernicus Marine Service offers all attendees free and open access to information on the physical and biogeochemical state of the global ocean and the six regional seas in Europe. This workshop and training session provides a unique opportunity to meet different users and producers of global ocean monitoring products. During plenary & training sessions, debates and round table dicussions, the Global Ocean Week 2016 will address the added-value of CMEMS products related to the Global Ocean, with a special focus on following applications:

  • Coastal environment
  • Open Ocean and coastal operations
  • Marine Energy
  • "Green Ocean"
  • Education and Outreach

Participation in the training is free. No registration fee will be charged. Participants are expected to pay for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
