COSS-TT- International Coordination Meeting 6 (COSS-ICM6)

Registration and call for papers





Meeting themes:

 1General theme: Science in support to coastal ocean forecasting
 2OceanObs related theme: Added value of observing networks in the coastal ocean continuum: integration with model prediction and applications", including synergistic model-data studies such as DA, OSSEs, etc., with both in situ and satellite data (people interested in ARCOM themes are encouraged to submit abstracts)
 3Systems theme: Operational and pre-operational ocean forecasting systems, with the following special themes in particular: coastal forecasting system description and updates; quality and performance of large-scale ocean forecasting systems in the coastal areas.
 4Cross-cutting theme (link with Marine Ecosystem Analysis and Prediction Task Team): Ecosystem responses to physical drivers in coastal regions


Besides the themes, we expect to have a

  • discussion on the TT participation to the GOV Symposium "OceanPredict19",
  • discussion on links with external bodies such as the OOPC in light of recent initiatives
  • Task Team meeting

Authors are invited to indicate the relevant theme(s) for their abstract, when submitting as well as whether their preference is an oral or poster presentation.

All participants have to pay a meeting registration fee of €125 (~£110, ~ $150). The fee will cover costs for meeting rooms, breaks, lunches, poster boards, tour(!) and dinner(!).

We aim to allow fee payments through bank transfer and credit card payments (also on-site). Further information will be provided asap.

Places are limited so early registration is recommended.
